Humen Broadway Garment Wholesale Market
A ten-billion-yuan womenswear market in the centre of Humen, selling mid-range fashion into the whole of China and out to Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe and the US.

Broadway sits in the core of Humen Town and does one thing at very large scale: mid-range womenswear, moved in volume. In 2012 its annual transaction volume passed ten billion yuan, and it has remained one of the town's principal trading floors since.
It is a working wholesale market rather than a showcase one. The fittings are plain, the aisles are narrow, and the day ends early — trading runs from around nine in the morning to five in the afternoon, because the freight has to leave.
What the market sells
The range is mid-range and lower-mid-range womenswear: dresses, blouses, knitwear, outerwear, trousers and skirts, turned over season by season at price points built for volume retail rather than for boutiques.
Its distribution reach is what makes Broadway worth a stop. The market's sales network covers the whole of the Chinese domestic market, and a substantial export trade runs from it to Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, reaching as far as Europe and the United States. Buyers here are as likely to be consolidating a container as filling a shop.
What Broadway does not offer is development work. Stalls sell what they have made; a buyer wanting production to their own specification should be talking to Huanghe's brand floors or directly to a factory.
Prices, minimums and how buying works
Pricing is keen and margins are thin, which shapes everything else. Minimums are low — a few pieces per style and colour — but the quoted price barely moves until you are buying in cartons, and vendors turning over hundreds of units an hour have little appetite for negotiation over small orders.
Inspect what you buy rather than what is on the hanger. At this price point the gap between the display sample and the packed carton is the single most common source of disappointment, and it is entirely avoidable by opening a box before you pay.
Use a freight forwarder. Broadway's buyers routinely consolidate across several stalls and several markets, and the forwarding agents in the district handle packing and export documentation as a matter of course.
Planning a visit
The market is in the central area of Humen Town, within the same district as the Yinlong Road markets and a short drive from Humen railway station. There is no separate destination to plan around — it is one stop on a Humen garment day.
Pair it with Daying Oriental and Huanghe to see the town's full price range in one visit: budget volume here, mid-market at Daying, mid-to-high at Huanghe.
Frequently asked questions
What are Broadway's opening hours?
Roughly 09:00 to 17:00 daily — earlier closing than most of the region's markets, because the wholesale day ends when the freight leaves.
Does it export?
Yes. Alongside a nationwide domestic network, Broadway supplies buyers in Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia, and reaches Europe and the United States.
Can I order to my own design here?
No — the stalls sell finished stock. For made-to-specification production, talk to the brand floors at Huanghe Fashion City or to a Humen factory directly.
