Humen International Fabric Trading Centre
Humen's purpose-built fabric exchange: over 100,000m² and more than a thousand units, with branded mill fabric on the ground floor and an accessories market above.
The Humen International Fabric Trading Centre — HICC to most people who use it — was built to give the town's fabric trade a modern front door. Where Fumin grew outward in phases from 1997, HICC was planned: a first phase on a 48,091m² site carrying more than 100,000m² of built floor area and capacity for 1,066 shop units.
It sits at the centre of Humen's fabric wholesale district and currently runs around 1,106 trading units at roughly 85% occupancy. The branded-fabric area on the ground floor is close to fully let, which is the clearest signal of what the building is for.
What the market sells
The layout is simple and worth knowing: floors one and two are fabric, floor three is accessories.
The ground floor is the branded-mill area — established fabric houses with permanent showrooms rather than trading stalls. This is where you find the mills that supply Humen's larger factories, and where technical documentation, consistent lot-to-lot quality and real development conversations are easiest to come by. The second floor broadens out into general garment fabric across wovens and knits.
The third floor is a full accessories market in its own right — zips, buttons, webbing, labels, hangtags and packaging — which is what allows a buyer to specify a complete garment without leaving the building.
Prices, minimums and how buying works
HICC is the Humen equivalent of Guangzhou International Textile City: you pay a little more than the surrounding markets and you get mills rather than middlemen. For a one-off stock purchase that premium is wasted. For a fabric you intend to run season after season it is the cheaper decision.
Minimums are standard — roll quantities for stock, a few hundred metres per colour for dye-to-order. What the branded floor adds is the ability to commit to a specification with a named mill behind it, which matters when a customer complaint six months later needs a traceable answer.
Because the accessories market is upstairs, do the whole garment in one visit: choose the shell fabric on floor one or two, then take the swatch to floor three and match the trims against it while you still have it in hand.
Planning a visit
HICC is on Renmin North Road in the middle of Humen's fabric district, within walking distance of the Fumin complex and the other markets in the cluster. Hours run roughly 08:30 to 18:00, and the building is closed over Chinese New Year along with the rest of the town.
Two to three hours covers it properly. Most buyers pair it with Fumin in the same morning and a garment factory appointment in the afternoon.
